POWERS & DUTIES
The Animal Care and Control Oversight Board shall have the duty and responsibility to advise/make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the care and control of domestic animals through ordinances, policies, requirements fulfillment of specific and related contract(s) and make recommendations regarding animal care and control initiatives authorized by the Board of County Commissioners.
The Animal Care and Control Oversight Board shall meet quarterly or more frequently as directed by the Chair or a majority of the members. Failure to attend three consecutive meetings is grounds for automatic removal from the Board.
Florida law prohibits an advisory board member from doing business with its agency (the County). Section 112.313(3) and (7), Fla Stat.
The Board meets quarterly at 3:00 PM at the Administrative Center. Their next meetings are April 19, July 19, and October 18.
Construction Industry Licensing Board Vacancies

Vacant Positions: Two Consumer Representatives who are not and have never been a member or practitioner of any profession regulated by the Board or a member of any closely related profession. The consumer representative shall not be financially interested in the furnishing of labor, material or appliances for construction work within the County or in the making of plans or specifications therefore, unless he/she is the owner of the building in which such construction work is to be done.
Prior to appointment, each member of the Board shall be a registered voter in Martin County. No member shall hold elective public office or be an employee of Martin County or any municipality within the County. The member’s term of office shall terminate earlier at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners, or automatically if the member: ceases to be a registered voter in Martin County; ceases to be qualified as outlined above; or fails to attend three successive, regularly scheduled, monthly meetings.

Neighborhood Advisory Committee Vacancies
The Martin County Board of County Commission seeking applications from individuals interested in volunteering to serve on the Neighborhood Advisory Committees (NAC). The Committee makes recommendations to the Martin County Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) regarding implementation of each area’s Community Redevelopment Plan.
To qualify, you must be an individual who is either
A resident of the respective Community Redevelopment Area, as evidenced by being a registered voter in the respective Community Redevelopment Area for at least one year, or
A resident of Martin County, as evidenced by being a registered voter in Martin County for at least one year, who is also a business owner of a business located within the respective Community Redevelopment Area; or
A resident of Martin County, as evidenced by being a registered voter in Martin County for at least two years, who is also a senior manager of a business located within the respective Community Redevelopment Area; or
A resident of Martin County, as evidenced by being a registered voter in Martin County for at least one year, who also owns real property within a half mile of the respective Community Redevelopment Area. No more than two members of any respective Neighborhood Advisory Committee will be appointed from category iv. above.
These are four year terms.
Golden Gate meetings are held the first Monday of every other month at 6pm at the Cassidy Community Center at Golden Gate. Next meetings are February 5, April 2, June 4, August 6, October 1 & December 3.
Hobe Sound meetings are held the third Wednesday of every other month at 6pm at the Hobe Sound Civic Center. Next meetings are March 21, May 16, July 18, September 19 & November 21.
Indiantown meetings are typically held monthly (second Wednesday of the month) at 6pm at the Indiantown Civic Center. Next meetings are February 7, March 14, April 11, June 13, August 8, October 10 & December 12.
Jensen Beach meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of every other month at 6pm at the Jensen Beach Community Center. Next meetings are March 14, May 2, July 11, September 5 & November 7.
Old Palm City meetings are held the third Monday of every other month at 6pm at the Palm City Community Center. Next meetings are February 19, April 16, June 18, August 20, October 15 & December 17.
Rio meetings are held the third Thursday of every other month at 6pm at the Rio Civic Center. Next meetings are March 15, May 17, July 19, September 20 & November 15.
All members are expected to attend each and every meeting of the committee. If a member is absent from three meetings of the Committee within a twelve month period, said member is automatically removed from the Committee but may apply for re-appointment by the Board.

The position requires primarily physician marketing in the PSL/Stuart area in order to educate physicians and receive referrals for outpatient therapy services of PT, OT and SLP. LifeCare is an Outpatient therapy provider that is unique in that we provide these services both at our facility in Tamarac but mainly in the patient’s home. We have a disease management system of providing care to the frail elderly that emphasizes quality and collaboration with our referral sources and payors. LifeCare also treats work injury patients and post-surgical patients. SandyPines in Tequesta, FL is recruiting a full time Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) for the Residential Treatment Center.
The CTRS provides Therapeutic Recreation services to residents as part of the treatment team to meet their specific physical and psychological needs in accordance with Sandy Pines’ policies and procedures. The position is an exempt, full time position. Generally the schedule will be 40 hour per week, evening and/or weekend hours will be required to accommodate the individualized needs of the residents and families served.
Must be a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist with at least one (1) year experience in Recreation/Vocational/Activities Therapy, or Mental Health field. Master’s degree in Counseling or related field is preferred. R.O.P.E.S. certified with children and adolescents preferred.
